Life cycle of a butterfly

Over the last three weeks the children in Nursery have been watching our caterpillars grow and go into their cocoons. This week the butterflies emerged and on Friday we let them go. It was fascinating to watch the changes that occurred and it promoted lots of talk between the children.

Snails, Slugs and Worms

We really enjoyed learning about snails, slugs and worms this week. The afternoon children were very keen and bought in 20 snails they found at home. We even named some of them….. Barry, Betty, Boris, Barbara, Beebee, Barrie, Bobby, Ben…..you get the idea.
We spent the week observing our snails and then freed them back into the garden.

Who is looking at our post?

Hi, we love to know all about our blog visitors. It would be fantastic if you could tell us a little bit about yourself. We can use this when telling our Nursery children about the comments you make on our blog. Thank you

Our Week 20.3.17

This week our focus was the Fairytale of Jack and the Beanstalk. We did lots of lovely activities and some excellent art work.

On Tuesday we wore our most colourful socks to celebrate inclusion day.

The Nursery children had lots of fun exploring the outdoor play equipment. We made the most of the sun!
